Chocoholic doesn't even begin to describe my love and obsession for the stuff. Up until now, it was an *unhealthy* obsession! Now I can sleep at night knowing my indulgence was actually good for me.
How, might you ask?
I took a recipe for Shakeology chocolate bars and created a crazier version that includes bananas and nut butter. Don't worry, it's ok if you consume the whole thing! I figured, sometimes you just need to give yourself a treat but that doesn't mean you have to do it in an unhealthy way.
Here's how to make your chocolately dreams come true...
- 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology
- 1 TSP Water
- 1 TBS coconut oil (melted)
- 1 TSP Peanut or Almond Butter
- 1/4 Banana
- 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
Melt the coconut oil in bowl and add in the Shakeology, vanilla & water. Mix around until well incorporated (you can always add a bit more water to loosen up if you need to.) Take half of the mixture and flatten out in a circle on a greased tupperware lid. I just sprayed with cooking oil.
Slice the banana into thin circles and layer on top of the chocolate, then spread on the butter. Cover with the remaining chocolate and freeze for at least 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer and it should pop off of the lid (maybe use the tip of a knife to pull it up in one piece.) ENJOY!
