Well hey there!


My name is Vanessa Christopher and simply put, I am passionate about health, fitness, travel and sharing that with others. I reside in Lake Stevens, Washington with my husband and happy-go-lucky pup named Buddy! We love to hike, brew our own beer and travel the world whenever we get the chance. Life is what you make of it, so we decided to make ours an adventure!!

As a Beachbody Coach I get to have the BEST job in the world connecting with others along their journey to a healthier life. Here are the juicy deets on how I got here... I grew up very active and continued that lifestyle through college, where I played NCAA Volleyball and rowed on the Women's Crew team. I was in great shape but everything changed when I got incredibly sick Junior year of college. I was hospitalized, almost dropped out of the semester and everything in my world seemed to be crashing down on me in the blink of an eye. 

I was no longer able to workout and coincidentally had to remove myself from both the volleyball and rowing programs for the semester. Stress eating became a lifestyle for me and as a result, I gained 30-40 pounds where I was the heaviest i'd ever been. Suddenly, I was depressed, had ZERO self-esteem and didn't think I'd be able to pull myself out of it. I studied in London over the summer and through the fall semester of Senior year and managed to gain enough motivation to begin working out and started to drop some pounds. When I returned home the Christmas, I was finally starting to feel like myself again. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a long and HARD roller coaster ride...

The habits I developed to gain back my health became obsessive and turned into a deep, dark spiral downward. I counted every. single. calorie. that went into my mouth and worked out as long as I could every day. I would run 10 miles and eat 1,000 calories. I certainly lost that weight but I knew deep down it was not the right way to do it. I deprived myself of food and was miserable.

Still depressed and feeling lost., one day I woke up and decided i'd had enough! It was a long battle to get back to a mentally healthy state again because it was about more than just eating right; I had to re-train my brain too. I completely made-over my nutrition plan, switched up my workouts and made the decision to be a HAPPIER, HEALTHIER version of who I was yesterday. HOORAY! Personal development EVERY day has been a big part of growing, learning and bettering myself.

Fast forward a few years... I had met and married the love of my life, who inspires me on a daily basis, quit my gym membership to opt for home workouts and hot yoga and finally found my perfect balance with food and fitness! When I was presented with the opportunity to become a Beachbody Coach, I instantly knew THIS was my thing!! I had found a "job" that allows me to take care of myself, while I can share my passion for coaching, leadership and health and fitness with others who are also going through struggles and journeys of their own.

Never in my life have I been part of an organization or company that is so SUPPORTIVE, MOTIVATIONAL, INSPIRING and simply put...just full of some REALLY awesome people! I feel blessed every day to be involved with this and it makes me grateful for where I am now in my life!
